Free, runs entirely in your browser — no sign-up, no file upload to a server.
What does URL Shortener do?
It shortens a long URL into a compact, shareable link.
Where does the shortened link actually come from?
This site has no backend of its own, so shortening a URL calls a free, third-party link-shortening service (is.gd) directly from your browser — the URL you enter is sent to that service, not stored on our servers. If that service is unreachable or rate-limited, you'll see an honest error rather than a fake result.
Is my shortening history saved?
Your recent shortened links are kept in your browser's local storage so you can find them again, but that history stays on this device only.
How do I report a problem or request a feature for this tool?
